Description
This listing is for a 4″ potted Myrmecopa beccari – an epiphytic caudiciform plant native to Australia, that gets the name “Ant Plant” because they have a symbiotic relationship with ants where in exchange for housing, the insects leave nutrients inside the chambers and provide a measure of protection for the plant against predators. However, these ants do not occur in cultivated plants. A truly weird and otherworldly plant! Best grown mounted or in a teak basket or mounted in bright light and allowed to dry slightly in between watering. A great plant to grow in large terrariums or vivaria! You are purchasing a 4″ potted plant similar to the one pictured.
